Emergency crews responded to a home in Washington early Monday for a possible fire.
According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 5:55 a.m. the call came in after lightning strikes in the area and the caller reported smoke and hearing the fuse box pop. As heard live from the scene with KCII News at Orchard Drive, south of WCHC, Washington Fire Department responded with one truck and Washington Police were on scene. Firefighters were in the home and two hoses could be seen running from the firetruck, across the lawn and to the back of the house. No smoke or flames were visible No injuries were reported. Alliant Energy also responded to the scene.
