Emergency communications equipment needs upgraded in Washington County.

The Washington County Board of Supervisors will discuss funding research for the radio project at their meeting Tuesday. Cara Sorrells, 911 supervisor, says three options for the equipment have been presented with a cost ranging from $4.6 to $10.4 million. That cost only includes the equipment, not a facility in which to place it. The equipment includes radios and towers throughout Washington County for emergency crews like law enforcement and ambulance to use. The supervisors meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
