A new FBI director has been confirmed.

Christopher Wray was confirmed by the Senate with a vote of 92-5 on Tuesday. KCII News spoke with Senator Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) about the confirmation and Grassley’s vote in support of Wray. Grassley shared why he supported the selection, “I think the important things for me is his professional background as a longtime assistant U.S. Attorney, head of the criminal division in the Bush Department of Justice, and then lastly a successful private practice, gives him those professional qualifications he needs.” To hear more of KCII’s conversation with Grassley listen to Friday’s Washington Page.
