The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk baseball team finished 2017 with a 16-15 overall record. The Golden Hawks were 9-9, fourth place in the River Valley Conference.

The Golden Hawks hit .264 as a team, fourth best in the RVC. Mid-Prairie led the RVC with 30 doubles and were third in the conference with 125 hits. Mid-Prairie had a team ERA of 3.75, fourth in the conference.

Individually, Mid-Prairie was led by Jacob Leonard and his .375 average at the plate, seventh best in the River Valley Conference for those with at least 20 at bats. Karson Gingerich had the team lead and was seventh in the RVC with 26 RBI. His 27 total hits were also most on the team. Brad Tornow led the Golden Hawks on the hill with his 2.61 ERA, fifth best in the RVC for those with 40 innings pitched. His six wins were tied for third most.

Tornow and Gingerich received all River Valley Conference accolades.

Mid-Prairie was eliminated in the district championship round of the class 2A playoffs.
