A bright summer moon will likely be in the way of this weekend’s annual Perseid meteor shower.

The glare of the moon will make it more difficult to see the meteors in the night sky, says Washington County Naturalist Pam Holz. This weekend is the prime time for the Perseid Meteor Shower which are often seen in the northeast as though they’re coming form the constellation Perseus.
