Just days after competing in the 45th Iowa Shrine Bowl, Sigourney’s Avery Moore showcased his baseball talent by being named to the Class 1A All State Second Team.

The multi-sport standout received the honor as an outfielder for the Savages. At the plate Moore was a huge reason why Sigourney was the highest scoring team in the South Iowa Cedar League. He was in the top three for the conference in batting average at .477 and drove in 19 runs. The track star made his presence known on the basepaths, stealing the second most bases in the SICL with 35. Defensively Moore was just as solid, not recording an error all year in centerfield.
