Another baseball season is behind us and another successful season is checked off the list for Highland. Offensively the Huskies were among the best in the state and a huge reason why they captured the Southeast Iowa Super Conference Title.

The senior led group racked up a team batting average of .347, 10th in class 1A. The Huskies lineup full of all-conference selections had eight batters with at least a .300 batting average. Second team all-state selection Chase Rath led that charge with a .494 batting average and 32 RBI, second in the conference. Bill Burton also hit over .400 with a batting average of .415. The Huskies were also effective on the base paths stealing a conference best 138 bags on the year. Burton led the group with 28, second in the league.

Highland finished the year 21-5 and will look to reload, as they lose eight players to graduation.
