August 21st is quickly approaching and that is the first day fall term classes will be held at the Kirkwood Washington Regional Center this school year.

Director of the center Tera Pickens says incoming traditional and high school students should be checking for correspondence from the school, “With the high school students we’re in the process right now of sending confirmation letters to them with their schedules. So they need to make sure that they’re opening their Kirkwood mail, confirming their Kirkwood classes. Understand the date they need to be attending here, which that may not be the same day that their high school starts their new academic year. And the thing with our traditional students is just kind of making textbooks are squared away and they’re making arrangements to have tuition paid, and then just planning to be here that first day of class ready to go.”

While the new school year begins in just a couple of weeks, there are still a few days for traditional students to enroll with a student orientation at 9 a.m. on August 10th. To enroll contact Kirkwood and speak with an academic advisor about applying and registering for classes. For more information listen to the Washington Page with Pickens.
