Description: Louisa County Conservation continues their archaeology program series with “Small-Scale LiDAR Approaches to Iowa Archaeology” on Thursday, September 14 from 6-7 p.m. Light Detecting and Ranging (LiDAR) is used to collect data on various sites across the state. This presentation will discuss the use of LiDAR as applied to burial mounds, a historic creamery, as well as some experimental work. This event is free and open to the public.

If you’re interested in monarch migration and conservation, this is the program for you. Learn about the citizen science behind monarch tagging before catching and tagging monarchs. We’ll bring the insect nets and tags. This will be an active program in the Langwood Prairie so be sure to wear sturdy shoes and long pants.
