Rain and Thunder Start the Week in Washington

Early morning thunderstorms rolled across the KCII-listening area to start the week.

From midnight to 6 a.m. Washington received nearly two-tenths of an inch of precipitation Monday. Cloud to ground lightning could be seen in the early hours today. According to the National Weather Service, there is a slight risk for severe weather, meaning scattered severe storms are possible throughout the today. The risk means there is the possibility for short-lived, or isolated intense storms. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
