Musicians from Iowa and around the midwest will be flocking to Lone Tree this weekend for the first ever Grey Area Music Festival.

The festival is being hosted by what’s self-proclaimed as “Iowa’s Premiere Rural Recording Resort”, Flat Black Studios, a repurposed three-story barn located on 540th Street near Utah Avenue. Local entertainers, from musicians to jugglers, will be performing on August 18 and 19, with free camping in the wooded 10 acres. The proceeds of the festival will be donated to the University of Iowa Rape Victim Advocacy Program and the American Civil Liberties Union.
