Highland baseball standout Chase Rath has experienced plenty of success throughout his career and the senior has one more award to add to his long list of accomplishments. Recently, he received Class 1A Second Team All State honors.

On a senior-led team, Rath was at the core of Highland’s conference champion year with his roles on the mound and at the plate. No pitcher in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference was on the mound more than Rath, as he was on the bump for 53 innings and racked up a 1.17 ERA. He posted a conference best 61 strikeouts with an impressive record of 6-1 in eight starts. At the plate he was just as dominate, having the highest batting average in the league with .494 and knocking in 32 runs. He also showcased his speed with 18 stolen bases on the year.
