Nearly half an inch of precipitation fell in Washington Monday.

According to the National Weather Service, Washington has observed 0.91 inches of rain in the first two weeks of August. During that time period normal amounts are more than double that at 2.05 inches. So far this month temperatures have been below normal at record levels. The average minimum temperature is normally 62.2 degrees and observed so far this August it’s been 52.9 degrees. High temperatures are expected to be in the low 80s this week with lows in the 60s.
