A large portion of Iowa has a slight risk of scattered severe storms today, and the KCII listening area is on the edge of the risk zone.

According to the National Weather Service, a slight risk means there’s a possibility for short-lived, isolated storms. Later in the day, a line of strong to severe storms is expected to move east across the region with the threat of damaging winds up to 60 miles per hour, hail, and brief heavy rain. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
