Washington County Fair’s Grand Champions were invited to take part in the Final Drive Livestock Show and brought home honors.

The annual event is held at the Des Moines County Fair and includes county fair grand champions from Washington, Louisa, Henry, Des Moines, Jefferson, and Muscatine County Fairs to compete against each other at a regional competition. Spencer Arnold received the highest showmanship honor as the Supreme Champion Showman of the Final Drive. Arnold was also awarded the Grand Champion Market Goat, which will next be shown this Saturday at the All Iowa Showdown in Osceola. Haley Sweeting earned Reserve Champion Breeding Doe. Taylor Brinning was a substitute showman for her sister, Morgan Brinning, and earned Reserve Champion Breeding Gilt. Erin Chalupa received the Danny Campbell Memorial Scholarship.
