A positive response has been received about the improvements made to the Clemons Creek shooting range.

With contributions from area law enforcement and the help of Park Ranger Mark Even, Washington County Conservation made improvements to the shooting range, including a sheltered area with mats, new benches, and a draining system. Washington County Conservation Director Steve Anderson says, “On our Clemons Creek shooting range, many many people are aware that we upgraded the 25 yard range shooting station to include a really nice canopy, and it is all done and open and we are receiving ecstatic reviews of that one. And we’re actually now starting to move forward with funding operations to do something as we go on forward to the 100 yard range next.”

The Clemons Creek Shooting Range offers 25, 50, and 100 yard ranges and is open from sunrise to sunset to those who are certified by the WCCB.
