Area cross country teams competed at English Valleys on Tuesday night.

On the girls’ side, Lone Tree had the best score of the area schools placing third with 94 points. Tipton took home the title with 29 points. Leading the way for the Lions was Macie Bopp placing ninth with a time of 24:35. Other top 20 finishers for Lone Tree were Natalie Patterson 15th and Sydney Alt 19th.

Highland was the next team in line placing fourth with 102 points. Taylor Sublette led the Huskie attack placing 12th with a time of 25:00 and Madison Thomann was not far behind at 14th.

Other top area runners that did not have a team score were Sigourney’s Lainey Graff placed 23rd, Keota’s Laurie Amos was 30th, and WACO’s Delaney Miller was 54th.

On the boys’ side Sigourney led the way placing fourth with 96 points. Tipton dominated once again winning with 30 points. The top Savage runner was freshman Mason Moore placing 10th with a time of 19:35. Tristan Bell placed 13th and Paul Montgomery was 15th.

Lone Tree placed sixth overall with 162 points. Top Lion finisher was Alberto Cortez placing 28th and Cale Christofferson managed 29th.

Highland was next in line placing eighth with 218 points. Bryan Redlinger was the top finisher placing 34th and Mason Manley was 47th.

Other area participants without team scores were Keota’s Turner Klein placing 21st and WACO’s John Skriver was 30th.
