Southeast Iowa was well represented at Washington’s cross country meet on Tuesday with area schools Highland, Keota, and Sigourney competing.

On the girls’ side, Highland finished in fourth with 92 points. Mount Pleasant took home the title with 37 points. Taylor Sublette paced the Huskies finishing 10th with a time of 23:26. Madison Thomann was not far behind in 12th, Zoe Mahler managed 17th, and Fiona Mahler was 24th.

Sigourney finished sixth with 222 points. Summer Barthelman had the top finish placing 25th with a time of 25:35. Cami Thompson was 47th, Autum Barthelman 49th, and Megan Stuhr 50th.

Keota did not receive a team score, but leading the way was Jenna Jaeger in 33rd with a time of 25:58. Laurie Amos managed 38th for the Eagles.

For the boys, Sigourney finished fifth out of six teams with 154 points while Mount Pleasant won the meet with 37 points. Paul Montgomery led the Savages in 17th with a time of 19:38. Mason Moore was 21st and Tristan Bell placed 24th.

Highland finished sixth with 262 points. Bryan Redlinger placed 35th with a time of 21:21. Mason Manley placed 40th and Jacob Roling was 49th.

Turner Klein, who placed 16th with a time of 19:32, led Keota. Jayden Lawson finished 46th for the Eagles.
