The No. 5 ranked Lone Tree Lions suffered their first loss of the season Friday falling to Baxter on Homecoming in Lone Tree 62-36.

Baxter jumped out to an early lead, holding a 42-14 advantage going to the halftime break. Five different Lions accounted for touchdowns in the game with Brock Smith going one of two through the air for seven yards and a score to Keegan Edwards. Bryce Houser had 13 carries for 46 yards and a touchdown. Moses Martinez had three carries for 32 yards and a score, while Aaron Slaughter found the end zone once on a pair of carries. With the loss, Lone Tree is now 5-1, they will next be in action Friday when they host WACO in an area showdown.
