Washington County 4-H and Clover Kids Clubs are kicking off a new year and are in need of some new volunteers.

The mission of 4-H is “4-H empowers youth to reach their full potential through youth-adult partnerships and research-based experiences.” The St. James Clover Kids Club meets monthly for an hour and is in need of an adult volunteer to serve as co-leader. Clover Kids Clubs are for kindergarten through third grade students. A co-leader is also needed for the Kalona Klassics 4-H club. All 4-H adult volunteers are required to complete a background screening and are provided professional development through Iowa State University and Extension annually.
