The Washington volleyball team forced five sets on Keokuk Tuesday night but ultimately fell in the Southeast Conference matchup.

The Demons beat the Chiefs last month and it looked like early on that Washington was going for the season sweep. The Demons stole the first set 25-20 but then lost the next two by scores of 25-22 and 25-14. Down two games to one, Washington forced a fifth set by the score of 25-14 but then lost a hard fought fifth set by the score of 18-16. Isabel Vandenberg was a big reason the Chiefs came out victorious, as she managed 20 kills on the evening and 22 digs defensively. Michaela Davis added 32 digs and Jakala Hall accounted for 22 assists.

With the win Keokuk improves to 2-18 as Washington drops to 2-14. The Demons get back on the court Tuesday hosting Mount Pleasant.
