The Washington Demons have been celebrating homecoming this week with Spirit Night, coronation, a parade, and the football game last night.
On Thursday’s Spirit Night, the marching band, cross country team, volleyball team, dance team, cheerleading squad, and football team were introduced. Head football coach Garrison Carter spoke highly of this year’s seniors, “This is a special class, you can tell just by the numbers: 21 seniors, hands down the most I’ve had in a senior class since I’ve been here. Very successful on the field, and their leadership, and just attitude and effort, and the way they’ve attacked life and this football program the last four years hs been commendable. It means a lot to me, it’s a very special group.” This year’s king is Carson Thomas and queen is Megan Mitchell. The homecoming activities conclude tonight with the annual dance at Washington High School 8:30-10:30 p.m. Find photos of the festivities at KCII Radio’s Facebook page.
