The Iowa Mennonite boys and girls cross country teams were back on the course Thursday in Iowa City at the Bud Williams Invitational hosted by Iowa City, City High.

The IMS boys finished eighth of eight teams with an overall score of 217 points. Pleasant Valley won the boys meet with 15 points. Top finisher for the IMS boys was Levi Geyer in 27th with a time of 18:17. Other IMS runners included Jacob Boller 62nd, Aaron Hershberger 70th, Gideon Sangare 71st, Jesse Slater 73rd, Micah Miller 74th and Johnny Diaz 75th.

The Iowa Mennonite girls finished sixth of six teams with an overall score of 168 points. City High won their home meet with 29 points. Top finisher for the IMS girls was Serena Gerber in 37th with a time of 25:45. Other finishers for IMS included Mackenzie Gutierrez 40th, Rachel Geyer 46th, Greta Schrag 47th, Kennedy Roth 48th, Meredith Blossom 50th and Ainsley Shaw 51st.

IMS will next be in action Monday when they host their home meet at the Wellman Golf Course.
