Three KCII area volleyball teams were on the court Saturday at Tim Grady Gymnasium in Wellman for the annual Hawk Tournament.

The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks ended the day with a 1-2 record. The Hawks beat Washington in a two set sweep 21-9 and 21-13, but were swept in return by Bellevue 21-8 and 21-8 and beaten by Sigourney in three sets 21-11, 12-21 and 15-8. On the day Mid-Prairie was led by Myah Lugar with eight kills. Caitlyn Riggan finished with 26 assists and Alison Yoder ended with 27 digs. Mid-Prairie is now 4-9 on the year.

Sigourney went 1-2 on the day as well. After their win over Mid-Prairie, the Savages were swept by Bellevue 21-9 and 21-16 and West Liberty 21-9 and 21-12. On the day the Savages were led by Leah Carter with 11 kills. Carter also led Sigourney with 22 assists. Sydney Striegel had a team best 21 digs. Sigourney is now 5-9.

The Washington Demons dropped all three of their matches Saturday in Wellman. Washington was beaten by Mid-Prairie 21-9 and 21-13, Iowa City Regina 21-18, 14-21 and 15-4, and West Liberty 21-12 and 21-6. The Demons are now 2-16 on the year.
