Residents across Washington County voted for representatives to serve on area school boards in Tuesday’s election.

There were two candidates running for three seats on the Highland school board. Candidate Rachel Longbine was reelected to serve District 1 and candidate Megan Allen was elected to serve District 5. Kevin Engel was written in with 46 votes for District 3. A total of 137 people voted.

Five candidates ran for four seats on the Mid-Prairie school board. Gabrielle Frederick, Jim Hussey, and Jodi Meader were reelected to the board. Denise Chittick was voted in to serve the vacant term ending in 2019. A total of 168 people voted. Results will be made official for the school board election when they are canvassed Friday.
