The Highland football team went on the road Friday and fell to the West Liberty Comets 62-7.

The Huskies had a tough night on the ground, rushing for just 12 yards on 20 carries. Highland’s points did come from the run game with quarterback Trey Lasek punching in a touchdown. Lasek had a bit more success through the air, going eight of 24 for 115 yards. Six different Comets scored touchdowns in the game, led by Seth Feldman who threw for two and rushed for two more. Joe Kelly went over the century mark on the ground for West Liberty with 10 carries for 127 yards and a score. With the loss, Highland is now 1-1 and will next be in action Friday when they travel to Sigourney-Keota.
