The Highland (1-4) football team will look to get back on track tonight as they host Van Buren (1-4) for homecoming.

The Huskies have dropped four straight games in part by a grueling schedule losing to West Liberty, Sigourney-Keota, Wilton, and Regina. Highland will look to jumpstart an offense that has been held to an average of eight points per game in those four contests. Trey Lasek leads the charge under center completing 19 of his 51 passes for 323 yards.

Lasek and company will go up against a struggling Van Buren defense that has allowed at least 35 points in their last four games. Offensively Greg Wenke has completed 21 of his 50 passes for 396 yards and four touchdowns. The senior also likes to run the ball leading the team with 265 yards on the ground.

The homecoming matchup gets started at 7 p.m. tonight at Highland High School.
