The No. 11 ranked Iowa Mennonite School volleyball team travels to Wapello to open pool play in the Southeast Iowa Superconference tournament.

IMS enters play as the No. 4 overall seed in the conference and top seed at the Wapello location. They enter tonight’s action with an 8-7 overall record. They were last on the court Saturday when they dropped all four matches at the Williamsburg tournament. On the season IMS is led by Suzanna Yoder with 77 kills and 167 digs second most in the conference, Rubye Ney has the team lead with 115 assists.

Wapello is the second seed in the pool. The Arrows enter play with an overall record of 10-6. In their last matches they went 1-2 at the Holy Trinity Tournament, losing to Winfield-Mt. Union and Holy Trinity Catholic before rebounding to beat Keokuk. On the season the Arrows are led by Miriah Mitchell who leads the Superconference and is sixth in class 2A with 204 kills. Addison Lolling leads the Arrows and Superconference with 293 assists while Kirsten Hank leads Wapello with 100 digs.

The Highland Huskies are the third seed in the pool. The Huskies are 5-6 on the year, in their last action they swept Lone Tree last week. On the season the Huskies are led by Alyson Stokes with 52 kills. Murphy Beinhart has the team lead and is 10th in the Superconference with 82 assists. Sydney Black leads the Highland defense with 98 digs.

Danville is the fourth seed in Wapello tonight. The Bears are 3-11 on the season. In their last action they dropped all three matches at Monday’s Holy Trinity Tournament. On the year the Bears are led by Emma Jarrett with 95 kills, seventh most in the Superconference, Ashlee Duerksen has a team best 190 assists, seventh most in the Superconference. Teagan Kruse leads the Bears with 131 digs.

Lone Tree is the fifth seed at Wapello. The Lady Lions enter play tonight with a 1-15 overall record. The Lions were swept by Highland in their last match. On the season Lone Tree is led by Riley Warson with 56 kills. Nico Smith is best on the team and ninth in the Superconference with 84 assists. Carly Moore leads the Lions defense with 79 digs.

Action begins tonight at 5p.m. and continues into the evening at Wapello High School.
