The Washington School District saw an uptick in the number of ballots cast in Tuesday’s school elections. In 2015, 7.3% of the registered voters took part in the election and this year 732 people voted, which equates to 10.65% of the registered voters. Of those who voted in the Washington School District 264 did so absentee, either by mail or in person. Mid-Prairie had 3.12% vote, down from 4.38% in 2015. Highland School District saw a decline, as last school election the question of a $10.6 million bond was on the ballot. In 2015, 45.7% of registered voters cast ballot and this time 4.96% did. Overall, Washington County had 1,037 people vote, 6.9% of the registered voters.
