The Keota volleyball team battled Moravia but ultimately fell in four sets in the South Iowa Cedar League showdown.

Keota got out to a solid start by winning the first set 25-23 but then fell in the next three by scores of 25-17, 25-23, and 25-20. Lauren Perry was a big reason for the Mohawk comeback, leading the team with 13 kills and three blocks.

Addison Sprouse led the Eagles with seven kills and nine digs. The junior also connected on 10 of her 14 serve attempts. Jillian Schulte added 12 assists and recorded an ace. Defensively Lauren Imhoff did her part with 11 digs.

With the win Moravia improves to 3-5, as Keota drops to 0-6. The Eagles will search for their first win Monday hosting Sigourney.
