A teenage driver lost control, went across the Highway 218 median, and struck another vehicle head-on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 2 p.m. dispatch received numerous calls of the wreck on Highway 218, near 240th Street, north of Ainsworth. One of the vehicles caught fire. Eighteen-year-old Seleena Marie Richardson of Ottumwa was southbound on the highway, when she lost control and entered northbound traffic.
