PAWS and More in Washington is asking the public to help adopt 60 cats in 60 days, and adoptions are half price at this time.

Director of PAWS and More Amber Talbot says they’re preparing for another uptick of cat intakes, “They’ll have three litters a year in the spring and summer, and into the fall before the winter. So, we’re going to be getting another influx of kitties and the shelter is right now at our capacity for cats. We have right over 60 kitties that are under six months of age right now that are still looking for homes. In the spring, the shelter had a similar goal and was able to adopt out 60 cats in just 20 days.

Talbot says if you do have stray cats that have been hanging around, now is the time to bring them to the shelter to help prevent the last litter of the season. Also, it helps those cats get the medical care they need to be healthy. Also, the shelter does offer a low-price spay and neuter day each month.
