Rain fell in Washington over the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, Washington has received half an inch of rain since September 1st. The normal amount of rain in the first 17 days of the month is 2.23 inches. The record low amount was set in 2009 at zero precipitation. So far this year, precipitation is about six inches below normal at 22.37 inches.
