Record high temperatures were recorded in Washington over the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, the thermometer rose to record levels Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Thursday the high was 93 degrees, Saturday’s high was 91 degrees, and Sunday’s high temperature was 93 degrees. In the first 24 days of September the average temperature is usually 65.2 degrees, and it’s been observed at 66.8 degrees. Temperatures are expected to fall as the week progresses, with highs in the mid- to low-70s Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
