A Sigourney judge has been appointed to serve as a district court judge in the state of Iowa.

Governor Kim Reynolds has appointed Crystal Cronk to be a district court judge in Judicial District 8A. Cronk will fill the seat formerly held by Judge Annette Scieszinski. Cronk received her law degree from the University of Missouri and her undergraduate degree from Truman State University (formerly Northeast Missouri State University). She formerly served as district associate judge in Judicial District 8. Judicial District 8A includes Washington, Keokuk, Appanoose, Davis, Jefferson, Mahaska, Monroe, Poweshiek, Van Buren, and Wapello counties.
