Polls are open from noon to 8 p.m. today for school elections.
For the Washington School District, residents can cast ballots at the Washington County Courthouse and residents of the Brighton precinct can vote at the Brighton Community Building. Mid-Prairie residents can vote in their respective precinct at the Kalona Public Library, West Chester Heritage Building, or Parkside Activities Center in Wellman. Highland voters in Ainsworth can vote at the fire station, while Riverside residents should vote at city hall. In addition to school board candidates, residents will be voting on whether or not to extend an existing bond for Kirkwood Community College by five years.
