It was all smiles for the WACO football team Friday night, as they dominated in a 57-0 win over English Valleys on homecoming.

WACO wasted no time getting the offense going as Hunter Donaldson got the party started on a five-yard touchdown run for the quick 7-0 lead. Later in the quarter Colton Horak found paydirt on a 33 yard scamper and the Warriors took off from there. They managed five-second quarter scores from five different players. Cody Crawford had a one-yard touchdown run, Calvin Battle had a 66 yard receiving score from Nik Coble, Elijah McGhoan ran in from four yards out, and Donaldson and Horak added one more. The Warriors had a comfortable 49-0 lead at the break.

Out of the break Matthew Leichty got in on the fun as he caught a 10-yard touchdown pass from Nik Coble and the Warriors cruised to the 57-0 victory.

While the offense had a monstrous night the story of the game is on the other side of the ball. After giving up nearly 50 points per game the Warrior defense shutout an English Valleys offense that averaged nearly 40 points per contest. WACO gave up just 135 yards of total offense and created four turnovers that set up a short field for the offense. Horak paced the ground game with 112 yards and a score on 10 carries and had a pair of interceptions. Coble finished seven of 11 for 109 yards and two touchdowns.

With the win WACO improves to 3-3 as English Valleys drops to 2-4. The Warriors get back at it Friday traveling to Lone Tree.
