Amendments to the Washington code of ordinances for the hotel/motel tax and fireworks use will be considered at Tuesday’s Washington City Council meeting.

The third and final reading for the hotel/motel tax will be held. The council will consider a resolution to officially establish a fund administration committee. The tax was approved by 75% of voters in a referendum. The second reading of an amendment to restrict use of fireworks in the City of Washington will also be held. The change would allow fireworks use only on July 3rd and 4th, and December 31st until 12:30 a.m. January 1st. In their regular meeting the council will also hold a discussion of paving the parking lot at Case Field, a street financial report, and a zoning change for the former Cargill property. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the Washington Public Library.
