After falling to them a year ago the Washington (4-1) football team will seek revenge on Keokuk (0-5) tonight as they travel to face the Chiefs.

Last year when these teams met, the Chiefs forced four Demon turnovers en route to the 16-12 victory. The Demons will try to right that ship with Jack Redlinger leading the ground game. The senior racked up 136 yards rushing on 16 carries and a score in last week’s 35-7 homecoming win over Fairfield. Since taking over at quarterback, sophomore Luke Turner has completed 33 of his 63 passes for 330 yards and has rushed for 338. The Demons are going against a Chief defense that has given up an average of 30 points per game.

The Demon defense will look to capitalize on a struggling Chief offense, only averaging 12 points per contest. Corey Skinner leads the offense as the freshman quarterback completing 24 of his 81 passes for 336 yards and one touchdown. He has thrown four interceptions on the year and he is going up against an opportunistic Demon defense that has six of those on the year. Skinner also leads the rushing with 156 yards and three touchdowns.

The action gets started at 7 p.m. tonight at Keokuk High School. Hear the live play-by-play coverage starting at 6:30 p.m. on 106.1 FM and kciiradio.com
