The Winfield-Mt. Union volleyball team got back in the win column Tuesday by defeating Louisa-Muscatine in straight sets.

The Wolves won an exciting first set 29-27 and then cruised to win the last two 25-13 and 25-11. Lexee Hartsock continues to be productive offensively with 16 kills and Jenna Buffington added eight. Lauren Jamison accounted for many of those points collecting 20 assists. Kyndal Townsley was on a roll serving, successful on 18 of her 20 serve attempts and cashed in on eight aces. Townsley also contributed defensively with 21 digs and Hartsock had three blocks to lead the Wolves.

With the win, WMU improves to 5-9 and 3-1 in conference play while Louisa-Muscatine falls to 2-12. The Wolves will look to continue their winning ways today hosting Mediapolis (1-7).
