High school runners from Washington, Mid-Prairie, Iowa Mennonite School, Highland, and Winfield-Mt. Union have qualified for the state cross country meet.
Mid-Prairie’s boys’ team and girls’ team each qualified for the second year in a row by winning the race Thursday at Pella. The girls’ race saw Anna Hostetler, Marie Hostetler, and Ana Fleming take the top three finishes repectively, while Floyd Evans won the boys’ race.
Washington’s Brennan Horak qualified with his 14th place finish. Also going on to the state meet are Iowa Mennonite School’s Levi Geyer, Highland’s Taylor Sublette, and Winfield-Mt. Union’s Pearl Krieger-Coble. The state meet is October 28th in Fort Dodge; KCII will be providing live updates with results from Fort Dodge.
