There are three contested races for Washington’s City Council this fall.

Mayor candidates include Pete Schaefer and current councilman Jaron Rosien. Ward 4 has Bob Gaal, Chris Gault, and Fran Stigers vying for the seat. And the At-Large position has two candidates with Elaine Moore and Evie Richardson. Steve Gault is running unopposed for reelection for Ward 2. A candidates forum is being held Thursday at the United Prebysterian Church for residents to get to know the candidates and their thoughts on moving the city forward.
