For the second year in a row the Sigourney-Keota (5-4) football team will travel to Pella Christian (9-0) for the first round of the class 1A playoffs.

After falling to them 49-0 last year, the Cobras will look to right the ship and pull off the upset. To come out with the win the Cobras will need a big day from their one-two punch of Carson Crawford and Luke Greiner. The duo are the top two leading rushers in district four with Crawford having 1,838 yards and Greiner with 1,154. Greiner, a three-year starter as a dual threat quarterback, is also fifth in the district in passing with 748 yards. The pair has been responsible for 43 of the 52 touchdowns from scrimmage this season. Sigourney-Keota is going up against a Pella Christian defense that leads the state with 16 interceptions and gives up just 14 points per contest.

Like the Cobras, Pella Christian generates most of their yardage on the ground as they average almost 300 yards rushing per game. Noah Treimer leads the Eagles with 1,105 yards on the ground and 14 touchdowns while Hayden Vroom has 905 yards and 15 scores. The Eagles score an eye popping 46 points per game.

Playoff football gets started at 7 p.m. tonight at Pella Christian High School.
