The Columbus Community volleyball team finished the 2017 season with a 5-26 record.

The Wildcats finished eighth in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference north division with wins over WACO, Lone Tree, Keota, and two over Louisa-Muscatine. Courtney Zaehringer led the Wildcats with 240 assists, seventh in the division. Maki Mendenhall was a big boost offensively with 128 kills and 1.7 per set. Emma Milder put together a solid freshman campaign with 211 digs and Anna Hamilton had 205. Angie Byas was a force at the net with 14 blocks. The Wildcats completed 90% of their serves and recorded 158 aces.

Columbus Community fell to Danville in the first round of regionals. The Wildcats lose Zaehringer, Mendenhall, and Lupita Montiel to graduation.
