The Iowa Mennonite boys and girls cross country teams were on the course Thursday at Mediapolis. The IMS boys were sixth of nine teams with an overall score of 125 points.

Liberty High School won the meet with 39 points. Levi Geyer was the top IMS finisher, taking the individual runner-up spot with a time of 17:32. Other runners for IMS included Jacob Boller 20th, Aaron Hershberger 34th, Jesse Slater 37th, Gideon Sangare 45th, Micah Miller 50th, John Hughes 52nd, Johnny Diaz 76th and Gibson Lowenberg 80th.

In the girls race IMS was fifth of six teams with their score of 118 points. Danville/New London won the title with 39 points. Top finisher for Iowa Mennonite was Sarena Gerber in 13th at 23:23. Other IMS finishers included Mackenzie Gutierrez 31st, Rachel Geyer 33rd, Greta Schrag 37th, Kennedy Roth 41st, Meredith Blossom 42nd and Ainsley Shaw 45th.

The Iowa Mennonite boys and girls cross country teams will next be on the course Thursday, October 19th for the state qualifier meet in Solon.
