The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk volleyball team will try to spring the upset trap tonight for their first River Valley Conference win of the season when they travel to Tipton.

In their last action the Golden Hawks dropped three matches Saturday at the New London tournament, to run their record to 4-12 on the year. On the season the Golden Hawks are led by Maya Hall with 53 kills. Caitlyn Riggan leads the Hawks with 181 assists. Alison Yoder leads the Mid-Prairie defense with 176 digs.

Tipton comes into the night ranked No. 5 in the state in the latest poll from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. The Tigers are 23-5 on the season. In their last action they went 2-2 in the Western Dubuque Tournament Saturday. On the season the Tigers are led by Sommer Daniel with 296 kills, third most in the River Valley Conference. Amanda Smith has the team lead and is seventh in the conference with 381 assists. Laken Hermiston leads the Tiger defense with 203 digs.

These two teams met a year ago with the Tigers sweeping the Golden Hawks. Action begins tonight at 7:30 at Tipton High School.
