From clowns and chainsaw-wielding foes, to dead bar maids and sickly surgery, Madness in the Machine Shed has a variety of surprises and obstacles for visitors at the haunted attraction in Winfield.

A couple of the attendees shared their reaction after walking through the shed, “I thought it was pretty good, there was a surprise around every corner. Definitely gets your heart going. Definitely, the chainsaw really caught me by surprise.”

Dead barmaid Brooke Wade shares why she volunteers at the Winfield attraction, “I really enjoy seeing the faces as they get scared. And it’s a great opportunity to meet people, the workers, people around the community.”

This is the third year the Winfield Community Development Group has hosted Madness in the Machine Shed, to raise funds for the upcoming Rick Rodgers Community Pool. One young volunteer says why he takes part in the event, “I get to make kids want to go home and have nightmares.”

The final opportunities to get scared at Madness in the Machine Shed are this Friday and Saturday from 8 p.m.-midnight with a lighted walkthrough on Saturday from 6-7 p.m.
