An event in both English and Spanish aimed at informing families in the Washington School District will be held this week. The annual Latino Night will be held Thursday, Heather Lujano explains it began years ago, “It’s a forum for parents to hear information about the schools in Spanish and meet some school staff.” The meeting takes about 45 minutes to an hour and is conducted in Spanish and English. Lujano says generally Spanish-speaking parents appreciate the meeting and explains the meeting will covers recent school district news, school projects like the auditorium and childcare center now at Stewart, and some community events.

She adds there will be childcare provided by the high school’s La Onda Multicultural Group. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Washington Public Library.
