The Columbus Community football team got back in the win column beating Highland on Friday 28-14.

It was the Abel Mena show once again for the Wildcats as he ran for 196 yards on 20 carries and found pay dirt three times. Due to weather conditions the senior quarterback only threw four times but the damage was already done on the ground. Mena showed his versatility defensively leading the team in tackles with 10 along with Nick Hernandez. Cody Fox added an interception for Columbus.

With the win Columbus moves to 2-5 as Highland drops to 2-5. The Wildcats get back at it Friday traveling to Regina (5-2) as the Huskies host Louisa-Muscatine (2-5).
