Mid-Prairie High School students will have an opportunity to free up their class schedule and take physical education earlier in the day.

The school board approved the establishment of an early bird physical education class for the second and third terms of this school year. The class will run from 6:30-7:30 a.m. every day. Superintendent Mark Schneider explains the motivation for this option, “The reason why some people may want to do that is then that provides more flexibility in their schedule during the day to take more challenging classes. It will also allow more ease to schedule concurrent or advanced placement classes.”

There are 12 students who have expressed interest in this program so far. This early bird class is an option for those needing to fulfill their physical education requirement.
